I’m just back from a sojourn to the metropolis of Istanbul. Whilst there, sitting outside the Blue Mosque, I experienced a 6.3 earthquake. Lo, the ground was shaking. Other seismic events are happening in Istanbul. Protests against Erdoğan’s heavy-handed rule continue. So, another ray of hope in the struggle against Fascism, both here in Europe as well as across the Atlantic in the Americas.
